OK, this boggles the mind. In this story from today's Daily News, it would seem optimism abounds regarding the development in Newbury that needs our water and sewer to go forward:
NEWBURY — There were expressions of optimism at an information session Saturday morning about the Village at Little River mixed-use development on Route 1, but, as selectmen Chairman Vincent Russo noted, "The devil is in the details."
Selectman Jennifer Wright, who is leading the negotiations with the development team, voiced optimism that an agreement on benefits and obligations would be reached by June 9.
A principal member of the development team said he was optimistic that neighboring Newburyport would agree to provide water and sewer service for the project.
Getting the necessary water and sewer service from a neighboring community is a "detail?"
I wonder what they know that we don't?
