Beach erosion no longer news?

I heard about this from a fellow islander tonight, at a social function. Someone from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute gave a talk for the Newbury Beach Committee about sea level rise and its impact on coastal Mass.

I guess no one thought it was important enough to report on, because sea level rise has nothing to do with erosion rates or the future of the coast here or anything.

The PI beach erosion seems to have disappeared from the paper. I never even saw anything about that house where the porch fell off and, as of last week, was still lying on the beach.

I took this photo last Wednesday, in the rain. The house in question is the fifth one down.
