I was trying to gauge the reaction of the School Committee when they came out of executive session.
It was the only point in the whole 4 hours I watched that I wished I had been there.
Well ... they weren't grinning triumphantly nor were they gnashing their teeth or pulling out their hair.
I agree with Tom Salemi - it's just a shame.
Read his post, if you haven't already. I have nothing to add.

If this is all about forcing the school committee to give him a raise, watch the crap hit the fan.
Given that Hudson and Newburyport have similar per pupil spending $11,531 and $11,457 respectively (FY07), it's hard to believe that a better educational climate exists in Hudson. Boston.com's community pages rank Newburyport's educational climate a 5 and Hudson's a 4.
Perhaps Mr Lyons concluded that a job change was the only way he could substantially increase his pay in the current economic environment.
Or there's something here he just does not like ...
