I didn't want the day to go by without marking the sad news of the recovery of the body in Iraq of Army Sgt. Alex Jimenez, who was from Lawrence. Read about Alex here, in the Daily News.
Although as the months passed with no news, hope faded, there was still a spot in me that prayed he would be found alive, or released alive.
Another young man from the Merrimack Valley lost.
My deepest condolences to his family.
ECN and the Daily News really did a stand-up job keeping Alex in our hearts and minds over the last year.
