This baby cardinal was in the scrub trees outside my bedroom window for about half an hour earlier. First he was looking around, then he (or she) took a little nap, did some feather maintenance, then hopped off to a more open location. I realized within seconds that the move was so the mom cardinal would know where s/he was ... she arrived, fed baby and after a while, they both moved on. I have 2 feeders hanging off to the right of where the baby was (outside the living room window).

You're so lucky. We'd love to have one (or many) of these little guys outside our window. Rob's favorite bird is a cardinal, so seeing this would be especially great.
We've had moderate success with our birdfeeder. The birds were going crazy for it when it was in this one particular spot, but we had to move it because the fallen seeds were actually sprouting in our grass. They don't seem to like the new location, though.
