I'm a downbeat person

And so are you - if you drive a car that is black. At least according to this story from US News & World Report.

People who own emerald green automobiles, it turns out, have the most positive attitude about the course of their own lives.

Do you know anyone who owns an emerald green car? Or is that Kelly green? Green is my favorite color; does that mean something?

Dark blue and silver are other colors chosen by upbeat people.

Red supposedly connotes an aggressive, high-speed personality, while yellow, theoretically, is for folks with sunny dispositions.

But survey data show that people who drive red or yellow cars have below-average confidence. And black cars, supposedly a sign of power and elegance, are driven by the most downbeat drivers of all.

But take heart - we're not moody. You know, according to this bloody report.

So silver, it turns out, is the chosen car color for upbeat people who are mentally stable. A person from the research company that actually spent time and money coming up with this data advises that you want your accountant to drive a silver car.

Well what about us poor, downtrodden people who can't afford an accountant, huh? What about us, Mr. Know-it-All Researcher? Why I oughta ...

Have a nice day!
