Drunk killer of local teen caught drinking

Well I'm back at the couch after spending the day with my mother, brother and sister (the one who lives in Malden).

So now I've perused the Daily News on line. This story caught my eye (it could hardly escape my eye): the Trista Zinck hit-and-run killer was caught yesterday drinking (in violation of his probation).

In a nutshell: Five years ago this guy got drunk, got behind the wheel of his Chevy Blazer and hit Trista and her boyfriend, Neil Bornstein, as they walked along the side of the road. He killed Trista, 16, and seriously injured Neil, tried to escape and rolled his Blazer. He was so drunk he could hardly stand. He served almost 3 years and was not supposed to drink as a condition of his probation.

He was seen last week drinking in Seabrook, NH, and was arrested yesterday. He could serve up to 15 years when he is sentenced next week, according to the DN. He had served only "nearly three years" for running down two people, killing one of them, and trying to flee the scene.

I deliberately did not use his name - but please do remember the names Trista Zinck and Neil Bornstein. And advocate for stricter drunk driving laws.
