Does anyone know what Blackle is for? Because I mentioned Oregano's in a recent post, my blog is now on there ... looks like some kind of Google thing.

Hi,
Its an Australian company basically with a just a website and using what i would expect is a "get a bunch of people to use our site for good "black computer screens save electricity" reasons" and then "put adds on the site to make money".
they must have autobots that search for certain phrases.
here's the wikipedia note : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackle.com
here's a WSJ article : http://blogs.wsj.com/environmentalcapital/2007/05/09/can-a-black-google-save-energy/
note that no tests actually show that black websites save energy.
I ended up in Newburyport, Mass. due to the restless nature of a previous employer, who has since decamped the area. Private comments and concerns can be sent to me at gillianswart@gmail.com.
