Speaking of ch ch ch changes

Wow, I used to live one block from this high school, and my youngest sister (the one that lives in Malden) and my brother both went there.

Officials are trying to determine what led to a large fight outside Flint Central High School on Thursday afternoon.

Police cars swarmed the school parking lot about 2:40 p.m. after school officials called police to report a large crowd fighting outside.

One officer estimated that about 70 students were involved.

Flint police said the crowd quickly dispersed when city police officers and Genesee County Sheriff's deputies pulled into the parking lot.

One person was led away in handcuffs but a Flint police supervisor said later there were no reports of any arrests.

An ambulance also was called but police had no information on any injuries.

"We're investigating the incident," said Cheryl E. Tate, executive director of secondary education for the Flint School District.

A district spokesman did not know if officials will have added security at the school Friday for the last day of classes before Spring Break.

I don't know if it still is, but Central HS used to be the 'magnet' school for the Flint school district.
