Here's the story from today's Daily News, about the landfill agreement.
Although I typically get press releases from the Attorney General's office, I did not get this one ...
Interesting how at least some members of the ad hoc landfill advisory committee knew nothing of this agreement until a meeting last night at City Hall when Ward 5 City Councilor Brian Derrivan told us about it (after I asked) and a subsequent email from Derrivan to the email list of neighbors.
It would appear from this story that everyone else knew earlier in the day.
Last night's meeting of the committee was not held, by the way ... Health Director Jack Morris had scheduled something else on his calendar.
The meeting I attended had nothing to do with the landfill - 2 people from he committee were there, however.
If this is all so above-board and "the right thing," why is everyone being so sneaky about it?
