Sulky seniors

I read with interest this little diddy in the Daily News online. I assume it's an editorial.

For the life of me I can't understand how pranks at school became a tradition. This one doesn't seem so harmless. How much did it cost to clean up at NHS, I wonder? Why don't I just ask someone, I wonder?

When I was in high school, we pulled any stunts like that and wham! blam! we were in trouble. I do, however, remember a peaceful sit-in we staged ... but it was about a war ... a seemingly unwinnable (is that a word?) war being waged in Asia ... hey wait ...

The concept of a prank, as I understand it, is that the person is caught off guard. How is a "senior week prank" a prank if everyone knows about it and there are guidelines how to do it? Where's the fun in that?

Good point, Ari!
