MORE SNOW

This winter reminds me of the one we had the winter after my sister (the one who lives in Gloucester now) moved to Malden.

It seems to me that it snowed every weekend, and I recall my sister and I one Sat. slogging up the hill they lived on there ... that was a quite a while ago now.

I've been trying to get a story on an event that takes place on Sunday morning for 2 weeks now. My guess is, tomorrow will be another bust. Another Sunday ... another 6-8 inches. I'm running out of convenient places to fling any new snow.

As a sidenote, that same day in Malden, I lost one of my beloved fake pearl drop earrings. The next summer, I was standing on my sister's porch, looked down onto the front lawn - and saw something pearly glowing in the grass.

It was my earring! I guess it got caught in my scarf and fell onto their porch, which my brother-in-law was shoveling at the time we arrived at the house.

I love finding stuff I thought was gone forever.

If you find either my youth or my hair, please let me know.

Thx.

Another reader offered me this quote a while back:

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." (George Bernard Shaw)

I have nothing relating to hair, however!
