Thank you!

Dear Anonymous from 4:05 today,

Thank you for your comment, which I am holding pending further investigation and probable story writing for the Newburyport Current (can't scoop myself).

Thank you!

Speaking of the current, nice cover photo last week... except that clamming in newburyport is illegal!

OMD! (That's stands for "oh mon Dieu" or Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark - whatever you prefer). That's pretty funny ... why is clamming illegal in Newburyport? I used to see guys down on the flats at the end of my street all the time...

Hi,

Just quickly to start, OMD?

Well done. Next you will bring up Kraftwork. But personally I'm going to pull out my Laurie Anderson albums right now (and yeah, i've got a couple on CD that she redid from the lp versions (note: Laurie married Lou Reed recently)

But actually, i'm just going to keep listening the song right now on my PS3 while playing Fallout 3.

"Civilization" by Danny Kaye with the Andrews Sisters. Great song (and also a great game).

But seriously. Of course clamming is illegal in the Port. Its due to all the new people that moved into the town (since 1635).

Remember, everything in Newburyport is illegal if you don't like it.

Wow, now its "Anything Goes" by Cole Porter.

I'm off to kill Super Mutants.

thanks,
sds

(ps. of course the clamming comment i made above is not correct. the clam flats were shut down for quite a while due to the "stuff" in the river. its now open in certain areas in both Salisbury and the Port with restrictions from both the State and each individual local authority. and any commercial shellfish have to be brought to the purification plant down the street from you before sale. the locals are even better than the ones from down south.)

(pps. and i know someone who knows where the oyster bed is in the Parker. never had one yet, but someday i wish.)

(ppps. now its "A Wonderful Guy" by Tex Beneke.)

Seriously, sds ... Civilization the game??? It's my addiction (and nemesis).

Driving on the Autobahn ...? I did not think anyone would get the OMD reference, except for my sister, of course. cool
