I was driving north on Rte. 1 this morning and I happened to glance to my left. EEEEEK
I thought some giant transformer/monster thingie was about to step out onto Rte. 1! I mean, literally I was startled at how big it is.
When I think of wind turbines, I think of those slender, graceful ones at Cider Hill Farm. Those ones appear to be benign ... almost sleep inducing.
The blades on this thing could take out an 18-wheeler. This photo really doesn't do it justice.
Now I understand what all the fuss is about ... I'm not saying it isn't safe, but HOLY MOLY!
