New harbormaster

I ran into Mayor Holaday at City Hall a bit ago, and she told me the City has hired a new Harbormaster - one Paul Hogg (which is pronounced like "Hogue"). She was running off somewhere so that's all the info I got from her. Here is something from 2005, on the website of the Northshore Harbormasters Assoc.

I'm assuming it's the same Paul Hogg.

Well that's what I thought, but the mayor spelled it and then pronounced it that way ... used to know a family named Hogg, in Michigan. Good Scots name, I gather (since he was a Scotsman).

Let's hope he's half as good as Ralph. I spend every weekend between May 15th and Oct 15th on the water (yes, Gillian, even in the shitty weather) and the local harbormasters are to be commended for keeping things orderly.

(And I include the Salisbury team as well.)

Nothing wrong w/spending every weekend on the water, Carrot. I wish I could do it. Shitty weather is the best - all the assholes stay on shore.

P.S. Ralph called me a hippie!

That's a shame; everyone knows that hippies suck. Per Eric Cartman all they do is smoke a lot of pot and smell bad.

Doesn't matter if the Harbormaster Department is an enterprise account, that's an appointed position.

I am somewhat taken aback by the size of the account (as reported earlier regarding the purchase of some sort of beach cleaning do-hickey).
