No one would claim responsibility for this (although some people tried to blame ME). City Council chambers, earlier tonight. (Wall of portraits of former mayors, in case you don't know.)
Yes, I noted that laughter, Ed. Seeing as how the real culprit is I believe a friend of Moak, I think you're right. I'm still surprised it was still up there, though ...
I ended up in Newburyport, Mass. due to the restless nature of a previous employer, who has since decamped the area. Private comments and concerns can be sent to me at gillianswart@gmail.com.

Regardless if I agreed with Mayor Moak (Of whom I largely disagreed with); he should be honored appropriately for leading us for four (4) years.
Take that disgrace down and get something appropriate!

Is that a Newburyport Mayor's trading card?
I've got a rookie Bryon Matthews card and a RARE Chris Sullivan card.
I just got back from City Hall, where I asked about the tiny photo. I was told it was a "spoof;" but still ... I was surprised to see it there today.
I was told by City Hall staff that Mayor Moak was balking at having a full blown portrait on the wall.
So as a joke (and meant in a playful friendly way), staff found a little picture and put it in a frame.
It made me laugh.
